Sparkling first Christmas for Stafford School
Pupils at the new St Austin’s Catholic Primary school in Stafford have been enjoying the build up to Christmas having put the finishing touches to their own special tree which was delivered to the school by Brighouse Construction of Stoke on Trent.
The Divisional Director at Brighouse Construction, visited St Austin’s to check out the children’s work. The firm, which completed construction of the new school back in July 2007, had pledged to help them bring a bit of sparkle to their Christmas celebrations by donating a tree, a set of Christmas lights and selection of decorations.
“We wanted to make sure that the children really enjoyed their first Christmas in their new school,” said the Divisional Director. “They have been having lots of fun decorating their tree and I was very impressed with the end results.”
“Every class in the school had the chance to add decorations to the tree and took it in turns as part of our daily advent liturgies building up to our final mass on Tuesday 18th December,” said Head teacher Mrs. Mounsey. “We would like to thank Brighouse Construction not only for our great school but also for the lovely tree, decorations and Christmas lights which really added some sparkle as we celebrated our first Christmas here in school.”
